Feline creatures slithering about
Getting under foot blocking your route
Sashaying fur all over the room
When feeling low they can lift your gloom
Sweet little things curled in your lap
Sandpaper tongue like a venus fly trap
Beautiful eyes that stare agape
Mysterious presence inside your landscape
Stalking big ones ruling the day
Jumping and chasing and subduing prey
Fleet fast afoot the fastest around
Beautiful coats patterns abound
Long a great source of companionship
They provide solace when you have a blip
Creatures of pure independent means
Following commands not one of their scenes
These wonderful beasts serve us so well
Having a few might make your life swell
When you look for respite or retreat
Go frolic with cats they’re often very neat
Have you ever had cats?
What was your experience like?
Did you find the cats fun? Engaging? Curious?
Entertaining? Humorous? Diverting? Helpful? Healing?
