Destiny

TSilence is golden no chattering mind
Crazed noisy chorus all left behind
Mind soaring heaven the promise of bliss
Pure expectation of your lover’s kiss

TNoise dancing around your brain
Synapses connecting to play a refrain
Joy you’ve been waiting hoping to find
Is waiting there for you to be kind

How will you know your pathway is clear
Does a road emerge from grins ear to ear
Is this the channel a guide that you need
Is it heaven sent providing god speed

Does each encounter unravel a layer of dust
Can you let go of resistance and with each step trust
Can you follow your heartbeat and heed your own rhyme
Can you delay forsaking have patience this time

The pure joy of living can quiet your mind
As yesterdays challenges recede behind
If you follow your trajectory through time and space
You will discover you’re blessed with sweet grace

You’ll arrive at your destiny unscathed and unbowed
Reaching your pinnacle far above the crowd
The brass ring you’ve been questing all of these years
Is right there just grab it let go fears and tears

How sweet is the quiet of your unchattering mind?
What do you do to quiet your noisy monkey mind?
What actions do you take that enables you to step into “observer?”
Can you consciously step into the space of quiet or does it control you?
What value might mastery over your mind bring you?

I have always been a seeker, always looking for the answers to what seekers ponder. I can remember Dr. Maxwell Maltz and Psychocybernetics; Dr. Carl Rogers On Becoming a Person. Moving through my legal training and practicing law the focus was always about people and how to better their lives. All that searching, reading, studying and introspective work culminated in this collection of daily readings for seekers.

My work in the world has progressed from fighting legal cases to mediating divorces to helping people understand the essentials of relationship and collaborating to these poems. How can we collaborate effectively and work with each other in harmony to create the world we seek. How can we mindfully enable this world to become a place that works for all.

My prayer is that through introspection using these poems as a guide we can all grow together in making the world the Heaven on Earth we all aspire toward.
