Here in the moment present in time

Focused on now all seems just fine

Not forward or backward not aft or stern

Deep in your body where you can learn

No chatter or dancing vibrating your brain

The silence and quiet in each cell the same

How can you focus like this all the time

Moment to moment in perfect rhyme

The presence of now is the power that’s you

When concentrated it sees you through

No matter what’s served on your life’s plate

You can digest in time and it tastes great

Your sense of security purpose and mission

When focused you’re ready for any transition

In your life changes will come and go

Your attitude the vehicle that takes you home

As life unfolds it goes fast and slow

Hold faith as a beacon follow its glow

Come back to center please do not drift

Follow your own jazz play a great riff

What songs do you want to play that need to be written?

Who needs to be part of the ensemble?

The chorus? The PR team?

What story do you want to share?

What message do you want to deliver?

What’s the tone or mood of your composition?

I have always been a seeker, always looking for the answers to what seekers ponder. I can remember Dr. Maxwell Maltz and Psychocybernetics; Dr. Carl Rogers On Becoming a Person. Moving through my legal training and practicing law the focus was always about people and how to better their lives. All that searching, reading, studying and introspective work culminated in this collection of daily readings for seekers.

My work in the world has progressed from fighting legal cases to mediating divorces to helping people understand the essentials of relationship and collaborating to these poems. How can we collaborate effectively and work with each other in harmony to create the world we seek. How can we mindfully enable this world to become a place that works for all.

My prayer is that through introspection using these poems as a guide we can all grow together in making the world the Heaven on Earth we all aspire toward.
