Quiet

Be still and quiet listen to god

Speaking inside in your private pod

Providing your wisdom being your spark

Shining a light when it gets dark

The path you have chosen is not for the meek

It takes strength and courage to continually seek

To strip away everything down to the bone

To discover who lives there when you’re alone

Behind your chatter beyond the hum

Beneath the planning is where you come from

Deep in the caverns of each single cell

Far in way down that’s where you dwell

Why not visit often this blissful place

As life moves forward at its frantic pace

Please check in here when it feels right

Connect to your essence deep in its night

In that deep recess hear god bubble up

Let the pure nectar fill your golden cup

You’re not the chatter no grand plan from afar

Your splendor’s in the quiet listen to who you are

What is required for you to get very still?

What are the voices you hear deep inside when you get very still?

What are they saying?

Do you listen to those words often?

What holds you back…beside the press of life?

What might you do to make time and space?

I have always been a seeker, always looking for the answers to what seekers ponder. I can remember Dr. Maxwell Maltz and Psychocybernetics; Dr. Carl Rogers On Becoming a Person. Moving through my legal training and practicing law the focus was always about people and how to better their lives. All that searching, reading, studying and introspective work culminated in this collection of daily readings for seekers.

My work in the world has progressed from fighting legal cases to mediating divorces to helping people understand the essentials of relationship and collaborating to these poems. How can we collaborate effectively and work with each other in harmony to create the world we seek. How can we mindfully enable this world to become a place that works for all.

My prayer is that through introspection using these poems as a guide we can all grow together in making the world the Heaven on Earth we all aspire toward.
