Resting

Home is where you're comfortable in your quiet state

No need to be on camera to pan or gyrate

You can just let down and be yourself

Trusting your surroundings no need for self-defense

Your body relaxes here breathing easier too

A place of familiar communion you can sit and stew

The battlefield of life requires a warrior stance

Forwarding your mission demands a certain prance

Your home is for resting no need to do any moves

The place you retreat to has a different groove

Don't be fooled by thinking your relaxing place

Does not contain production within its profound grace

You do your best work here when chatter subsides

Hearing your own voice god at your sides

Reverie enables connection to your sacred core

Quiet supports wisdom bubbling through your door

When you sense stuckness frustration tightening grip

When you're feeling empty inside your quivering lip

Do not keep frantically digging when you're in this hole

No relentless flailing be home with your soul

Do you know how to access that calm still presence that is always available to you?

Can you remember the last time you spent time in this presence?

Do you have any idea the ROI this presence represents?

Do you know how easy it is to access? Go! Now!

I have always been a seeker, always looking for the answers to what seekers ponder. I can remember Dr. Maxwell Maltz and Psychocybernetics; Dr. Carl Rogers On Becoming a Person. Moving through my legal training and practicing law the focus was always about people and how to better their lives. All that searching, reading, studying and introspective work culminated in this collection of daily readings for seekers.

My work in the world has progressed from fighting legal cases to mediating divorces to helping people understand the essentials of relationship and collaborating to these poems. How can we collaborate effectively and work with each other in harmony to create the world we seek. How can we mindfully enable this world to become a place that works for all.

My prayer is that through introspection using these poems as a guide we can all grow together in making the world the Heaven on Earth we all aspire toward.
