caretaking

Caretaking

Caretaking

It’s good to remember a truth of life

We all need caretaking when feeling strife

Someone to be there salving the ills

When it turns cold warming away chills

No matter how far how fast and how rich

When we are sentient life’s not always a stitch

Looking for balance inner peace quiet serenity

While at the same time being centered and free

Search for the warm you can call home

Nurturing caressing hearing your existential moan

It quiets the yearning and fills up your “whole”

It provides peace and solace as you grow old

As you go forward and you grow up

Realize you get filling their cup

The place we long for the warm glow within

Comes from the giving while wearing a grin

Do you feel like you are part of a caretaking circle?

Who do you give comfort to and who do you get comfort from?

What do get from it?

What do you give to it?

Is this a satisfying exchange?

Why?
