Christmas Eve
Today marks Christmas the birth of Jesus Christ
A day for reflection a day that feels nice
A day of remembrance of Christmas past
A day of choosing what do you want to last
It’s a time for charting a course for the year
A time to celebrate joys that bring good cheer
The mask known as sadness can be sent away
As you engage communion on this sacred day
Give gifts to others acknowledge what’s whole
Bless hold cherish be grateful honor each soul
Let your beauty come forth please glow and shine
Let your proud expectations be reflected by mine
Let the joy of community touch your heart with joy
Let the love that is inside honor each girl and boy
Now’s the time for lessons listen to your deep voice
It will tell you next steps then rise and rejoice
Seize your path for the next year let it unfold and shine
It’s yours for the taking take yours I’ll take mine
When we honor our voices and follow our heart
Then we will honor spirit that is noble art
Jesus said we have power god is within
Each and every a deity let yours fill you to the brim
Let your abundant self guide each of your turnings
Let the voice of your wisdom counsel all of your yearnings
How do you celebrate Christmas?
What do you do that fills the soul of others?
That fills your soul?
How do you take sacred time to explore your deepest feelings?
How do you extend forgiveness to others?
How do you cleanse yourself for the coming year?

I have always been a seeker, always looking for the answers to what seekers ponder. I can remember Dr. Maxwell Maltz and Psychocybernetics; Dr. Carl Rogers On Becoming a Person. Moving through my legal training and practicing law the focus was always about people and how to better their lives. All that searching, reading, studying and introspective work culminated in this collection of daily readings for seekers.
My work in the world has progressed from fighting legal cases to mediating divorces to helping people understand the essentials of relationship and collaborating to these poems. How can we collaborate effectively and work with each other in harmony to create the world we seek. How can we mindfully enable this world to become a place that works for all.
My prayer is that through introspection using these poems as a guide we can all grow together in making the world the Heaven on Earth we all aspire toward.
