Christmas
Today it is Christmas day of the Christ

A day of great solace isn’t that nice

The stores were so crowded with bustle and glow

Everyone was excited moving to and fro

The spirit of family moves through us all

The joy and blessing and trips to the mall

Kindness that fills us with pleasure and light

The day is delightful quenching your appetite

There is a window for all to look through

What does your soul say what’s there what’s new

The stockings are filled the earth’s in good cheer

The blessings we feel might last for the year

Now that we stand here alive and well

The joy that is Christmas inside us can swell

It’s not just in lucky ones fortunate enough

It resides in everyone no matter how gruff

As you encounter souls on your path

Reach down inside and make sure you laugh

Today is Christmas celebrate Christ

A day of consoling that is so nice
