Comfort
Comfort
The place you belong where you feel home
Your body rests comfortably you’re not alone
Longing subsides there is no place to go
You feel at ease in the joy that you know
Warm is the essence when you arise
It’s not about conquest or just to survive
It’s about caring for those you love
The joy of communion blessings from above
You rest very easy breathing is deep
Food tastes really good here long is your sleep
No need to wander run hither or yon
It’s very down home you’re back on a farm
When you are lonely tired or stretched
Step into the comfort of where you can rest
Don’t worry what you need it’s there without asking
It saves you the longing so you can be basking
One thing required in this restful space
Make sure you acknowledge those who provide grace
Remember when this was not here for you
So thank your angels who do what they do
Do you have a place to go to where you receive comfort?
How did that space develop?
Do you adequately acknowledge the people who provide that space?
Do you provide that space for others?
How can you make your space one of comfort?
I have always been a seeker, always looking for the answers to what seekers ponder. I can remember Dr. Maxwell Maltz and Psychocybernetics; Dr. Carl Rogers On Becoming a Person. Moving through my legal training and practicing law the focus was always about people and how to better their lives. All that searching, reading, studying and introspective work culminated in this collection of daily readings for seekers.
My work in the world has progressed from fighting legal cases to mediating divorces to helping people understand the essentials of relationship and collaborating to these poems. How can we collaborate effectively and work with each other in harmony to create the world we seek. How can we mindfully enable this world to become a place that works for all.
My prayer is that through introspection using these poems as a guide we can all grow together in making the world the Heaven on Earth we all aspire toward.
