We have reached a plateau in human evolution
The next rung requires many new solutions
What brought us to this place it will not suffice
Changing our thinking that sure would be nice

If we keep on expanding exploiting corrupting
Our civilization’s ecology we’ll continue disrupting
We need balance and thoughtful direction
Now’s the time for major mindful course correction

Our history as earthlings required great invention
As we engaged in conquest civility our pretension
We vanquished all the beasts mastered physical earth
Invented great machines and what was it worth

We conquered time and space
Conquering each other our disgrace
We built vehicles of mass destruction
Now it’s time to stop construction

It’s time to come together exchange deep dialogue
Building sacred relationships healing what is wrong
If we cannot conquer our inner space
Likely death destruction for this human race

As you wander forward living sacred life
Stay conscious of choices being a midwife
Make abiding connections with those in your space
Be human in being cooperation as your grace
