Demons

What this pit hole in my gut

Wandering mind wants to give up

Longing to be anywhere else

Futile attempt escape from self

Why it comes where do I hide

Wondering is there good inside

Longing stress free quiet peace

Searching for my release

Feeling disease within

Masked well veneer thin

Certainty time to make peace

Alternatively life must cease

How do you move through the pain

Battle the demons dry out from rain

Where’s the strength and fun

To endure without coming undone

Face the fear make it through

No choice not sure what to do

I know it is a transient state

I will get through this next gate

What are the internal demons you have battled? What

strategies have you used to get beyond them? How did

you talk to yourself about what was going on?
