Doing
It picks you up takes you places near and far
To realms not contemplated sometimes with a jar
The inner realms the outer realms the high and the low
The dull pathways traveled and sometimes they glow
There’s doing and being and having too
You get to lead and follow each and every “you”
The journey you are traveling makes you smile and scream
Taking you to new heights shattering every dream
It’s not about what happens more about response to
The stuff that’s on the road you ride and who rides with you
There’s wisdom all around you in every leaf and drop
You find it in the wind and stream harvest every crop
The bounty that is growing along each curve and bend
Is there to teach you beauty from beginning to the end
Do not treat things lightly let your heaviness go
It’s not about the up or down it’s about how you grow
You get just what you’re giving you’re always paid in kind
The vehicle that drives you much grander than your mind
Please let peace be with you as value supreme
Have faith and have courage persevere and live your dream
Careful of the false gods< charlatans that fake
They do not bring beauty they do not give they take
Follow your own heart maps the ones burned deep inside
Listen those wise voices there’s magic in their stride
As your time grows quiet and you start smelling end
Double your aliveness get closer to each friend
Join with all the creatures in the sea and feathered too
What you view through your lens no less or more than you
How do you speak to yourself about your life journey?
Do you have judgment or do your reflections provide opportunity for learning and course correction?
Do you take the time to honor yourself for all the value you bring?
Do you do the same for others?

I have always been a seeker, always looking for the answers to what seekers ponder. I can remember Dr. Maxwell Maltz and Psychocybernetics; Dr. Carl Rogers On Becoming a Person. Moving through my legal training and practicing law the focus was always about people and how to better their lives. All that searching, reading, studying and introspective work culminated in this collection of daily readings for seekers.
My work in the world has progressed from fighting legal cases to mediating divorces to helping people understand the essentials of relationship and collaborating to these poems. How can we collaborate effectively and work with each other in harmony to create the world we seek. How can we mindfully enable this world to become a place that works for all.
My prayer is that through introspection using these poems as a guide we can all grow together in making the world the Heaven on Earth we all aspire toward.
