Eden
Eden is here right now on earth
It lives all around the gift of our birth
It sings in the birds glows in the moon
Shines in the sun laughs like a loon
Runs in the streams dances like rain
Reaches like corn flies like a crane
We have been told by powers that would
That earth is endured and heaven is good
I wonder why they keep heaven from all
Heaven’s here now do not fear any fall
It’s not in the latest computer or toy
It’s not in your job search new suit or smart ploy
It all depends on willingness to see
To wake up the love in you and me
The heaven you seek is the heaven you are
It lies just beneath not very far
No need to climb descend or take flight
Be still calm yourself quiet your fright
Despite what “they” tell you to need or to earn
The garden’s love in you will fill every yearn
What is the dominant energy that runs inside you?
Do you take time to appreciate the power and joy of the loving kindness that courses through you?
Think of a troubling situation you are currently experiencing.
If you brought your love and compassion to the others involved how might that change things?
What is holding you back?

I have always been a seeker, always looking for the answers to what seekers ponder. I can remember Dr. Maxwell Maltz and Psychocybernetics; Dr. Carl Rogers On Becoming a Person. Moving through my legal training and practicing law the focus was always about people and how to better their lives. All that searching, reading, studying and introspective work culminated in this collection of daily readings for seekers.
My work in the world has progressed from fighting legal cases to mediating divorces to helping people understand the essentials of relationship and collaborating to these poems. How can we collaborate effectively and work with each other in harmony to create the world we seek. How can we mindfully enable this world to become a place that works for all.
My prayer is that through introspection using these poems as a guide we can all grow together in making the world the Heaven on Earth we all aspire toward.
