Suddenly even flat without chatter
All complaints gone nothing’s the matter
Visions you have for tomorrow are clear
What you really want seems already here

All shattering noises and dissonant sound
Have become quiet you’re no longer bound
Crippling programs from yesterday’s mind
Fading receding all left behind

Now comes the freedom of being untethered
From yesterday’s storms that you have weathered
The monsters you’ve conquered sleeping or dead
Purged from awareness leaving you a clear head

What is it now that resides inside you
Now that you’re empty and no longer blue
What does your slate say to you every day
What gives you direction when ready to play

The message that comes through so loud and clear
Let go of attachment do not hold things dear
It’s all transitory it shifts and moves
Let go of what’s irksome find your own grooves

Don’t fight the river float downstream not up
Life’s not about struggle fill up your cup
Be even serene observe all that passes
Rise above understand engage all of life’s classes

What habits of thinking are you holding onto that no longer serve you?
What new words could you choose that would affirm who and where you are now?
How might those new thoughts serve you?

I have always been a seeker, always looking for the answers to what seekers ponder. I can remember Dr. Maxwell Maltz and Psychocybernetics; Dr. Carl Rogers On Becoming a Person. Moving through my legal training and practicing law the focus was always about people and how to better their lives. All that searching, reading, studying and introspective work culminated in this collection of daily readings for seekers.

My work in the world has progressed from fighting legal cases to mediating divorces to helping people understand the essentials of relationship and collaborating to these poems. How can we collaborate effectively and work with each other in harmony to create the world we seek. How can we mindfully enable this world to become a place that works for all.

My prayer is that through introspection using these poems as a guide we can all grow together in making the world the Heaven on Earth we all aspire toward.
