What a gift designing tomorrow for yourself
To assess terrain and choose from the shelf
This is the gift we have as human animals
Looking front and back discerning will be and was
This power that resides this birthright we share
The quest is how to use this might for goodness if we dare
The planet we inhabit can use our strong intention
Six billion growing every day need guidance and direction
Time is ripe the crisis calls let’s all concentrate
Given what is here at stake there is no time to wait
Look about your life reflect what is it I can do
How can I harness my intent to change this stewing brew
If we could all align our plans agree on a joint vision
We need to do it now right now no time for indecision
The universe we live in complex and simple too
To decide what must be next takes all the me’s and you’s
When you see tomorrow in your own minds eye
Think not what you can borrow but what will be your tithe
It’s clearly not our taking that gives us all great glee
What you give awakens the best in you and me
What are you contributing today?
What are you depositing for the future?
How will you use your gifts?
How can you contribute to some larger goal?
What holds you back?
What motivates you?
What’s at stake for you?

I have always been a seeker, always looking for the answers to what seekers ponder. I can remember Dr. Maxwell Maltz and Psychocybernetics; Dr. Carl Rogers On Becoming a Person. Moving through my legal training and practicing law the focus was always about people and how to better their lives. All that searching, reading, studying and introspective work culminated in this collection of daily readings for seekers.
My work in the world has progressed from fighting legal cases to mediating divorces to helping people understand the essentials of relationship and collaborating to these poems. How can we collaborate effectively and work with each other in harmony to create the world we seek. How can we mindfully enable this world to become a place that works for all.
My prayer is that through introspection using these poems as a guide we can all grow together in making the world the Heaven on Earth we all aspire toward.
