Grace

Grace
Serenely quiet no chattering mind

All illusion unveiled you’re no longer blind

A new peaceful presence visits your home

From here to forever you’re never alone

How did you get here what guides revealed your path

As you navigated from bliss to wrath

Your vision undaunted though challenged and stretched

Sometimes it was joyful and sometimes you wretched

All are forgiven their trespass allowed

You’ve let go of anger you’re no longer proud

It was never you who was turning the dials

It was part of a plan to log many miles

Now that you’ve arrived at this graceful place

What will you do now what pains can you erase

Look back on your journey think on what you learned

Now you mentor others that’s a gift you’ve earned

Learn from your teaching share what you know

Honor the lessons they help you to grow

Embrace the wisdom you understand

Let lightness of presence blanket your land

Carry water chop wood that falls on your road

Acknowledge the honor of a heavy load

You will never be given more than you can hold

Don’t complain of the burden follow what you’ve been told

The only way out is the only way through

Don’t give up traveling just keep moving too

The gift of your effort contentment of soul

With certainty knowing god made you whole

What are the things in life that make you feel blessed?

Are they events, people, accomplishments?

How often do you count these blessings?

Do you think you acknowledge their presence often enough? Why / Why not?

What else might you do?
