Sitting in yes or no pondering what to do
Stewing on this or that without any clue
Looking for right or wrong assessing fault and blame
Mulling over each detail righteousness and shame

Amazing how the brain scans judging the whole scene
Quickly saying good or bad ranking in between
Sometimes we get trapped inside thinking that we know
There is “the” answer to be found that will satisfy us so

It does not really work that way deep within your core
More often we rationalize what it is we stand for
Once we understand our game then we get to choose
Knowing that the wrong mindset will help us to lose

Truth is there is little truth as objective measurement
What one says may be black or white generating argument
Each of us must find our truth what we believe is so
Rejecting with our courage thinking what we know

Many folks just go along accepting ways of being
Following the herd-like mind that often kills all meaning
As you age you get to choose to grow or slowly die
Now’s the time please decide and get home to your sky

How have your choices contributed to your growth?
How have they contributed to your death?
What have you learned in the process?
How do you approach choices now?
What do you do when you realize you made the wrong choice for you?
Do you chose again?
Do you have any life situations that require new choices?
