A profound sense of sadness weighs on my bones
From the top of my head filling all of my toes
The weight like molasses clogs every pore
My heart cries and screams I can’t take any more

How did this happen what caused this curse
The hole in my heart can’t get any worse
Eyes filled with wetness tears and red burn
Where do I go which way do I turn

Something is missing says the hole in my heart
A deep-seated mystery attacks each lofty start
What can I withdraw to fund a new life
One that sustains without screeching strife

Where is the shepherd guide me to a new place
I want a pasture of sweetness and grace
Give me strength again to walk in the light
To pick myself up and set a new sight

Grant me the courage wisdom and such
To get beyond shame I am feeling so much
I want to be with you and stay on this earth
I need you to help with a new sacred birth

Are you aware of the difference between your real purpose and the life you are living?
Do you have any sense of how you might have betrayed yourself?
What changes can you make to regain congruence?
Who do you need to apologize to and for what?
What do you really need to fund yourself?

I have always been a seeker, always looking for the answers to what seekers ponder. I can remember Dr. Maxwell Maltz and Psychocybernetics; Dr. Carl Rogers On Becoming a Person. Moving through my legal training and practicing law the focus was always about people and how to better their lives. All that searching, reading, studying and introspective work culminated in this collection of daily readings for seekers.

My work in the world has progressed from fighting legal cases to mediating divorces to helping people understand the essentials of relationship and collaborating to these poems. How can we collaborate effectively and work with each other in harmony to create the world we seek. How can we mindfully enable this world to become a place that works for all.

My prayer is that through introspection using these poems as a guide we can all grow together in making the world the Heaven on Earth we all aspire toward.
