Motivation

Horizon looks bleak
Closed throat can’t speak
Where to go charge so low
Energy wanes no place to go

Longing present cup is dry
Looking up gray clouds the sky
Future a blank screen
Scream inside feeling mean

Laughter smiles abandoned face
Life’s work gone in disgrace
Loved ones can’t help they try
Inside out wants to cry

Alarm says wake you say no
Nothing worthy where to go
Your get up got up and went
Your penny jar paid the rent

Place to turn inside you
Cells say time to renew
Continue to contribute presence
Drive to serve is your essence

Do you listen to the wisdom of your observer and not your monkey mind?

What happens when you don’t pay attention to that voice?
