Poised
Peace on the inside deep and abiding
Confident grounded no need for hiding
When you let go of longing presence prevails
Reflecting deep learning from holy travails
Silence quiet fills your heart and brain
Deportment’s even though you’ve come through pain
No need for ego to be stroked and fed
Peace comes from inside not chattering head
Joy is in giving not in getting gifts
What comes up in living learned from many rifts
The soft sweet essence you’ve struggled to find
Is firmly implanted in your noble mind
It’s time to honor powers supreme
They blessed you fully with your divine dream
The tools and vehicle you have on your ride
Accept them as proof god’s at your side
Now you know you have all that you need
Do not be inflated or succumb to greed
You can satisfy all your desires
True pleasure’s in giving what clearly inspires
Where are you standing now?
Are you ready to reveal, display and distribute your gifts?
Do you fully appreciate how fortunate you are and all the investment that has created you?
Is there anything left for you to clear away?
By when will that be done?

I have always been a seeker, always looking for the answers to what seekers ponder. I can remember Dr. Maxwell Maltz and Psychocybernetics; Dr. Carl Rogers On Becoming a Person. Moving through my legal training and practicing law the focus was always about people and how to better their lives. All that searching, reading, studying and introspective work culminated in this collection of daily readings for seekers.
My work in the world has progressed from fighting legal cases to mediating divorces to helping people understand the essentials of relationship and collaborating to these poems. How can we collaborate effectively and work with each other in harmony to create the world we seek. How can we mindfully enable this world to become a place that works for all.
My prayer is that through introspection using these poems as a guide we can all grow together in making the world the Heaven on Earth we all aspire toward.
