Rage

Residing in the chest this deep primal scream

Holding injustice the world has never seen

Lying dormant until tapped awakened

When your line is crossed more innocence taken

Welling up within a huge screaming snake

The shriek and the volume a pulsating wake

The essence of this primal scream

Reflecting suffering from an ancient dream

The rage embodies collective memory

Of the soul trampling in its history

That is why the charge is profound

Holding past present and future ground

What is the best tactic what must we do

With profound violence triggered by untruth

Acting out is dangerous making things worse

Lashing out with violence magnifies any curse

Can you take the path of wisdom take the path of love

Can you take the only path connected to a dove

Heal them with forgiveness let compassion flow

The only way rage ever ends choose to let it go

When was the last time you experienced rage?

What brought it on?

How did it end?

What was the overall experience for you?

How did you get through it?

Is there anything you learned that will help you the next time rage visits?

Can you use the learning as a resource?
