Down in essence your central core

Knowing what you are here for

Beneath chatter and running about

A quiet simplicity always comes out

The work of artists reduce refine

Express an epic in only a line

One brush stroke so simple and fine

Clear depiction for a long time

Truth so simple no diverting noise

Surfaces when holding your poise

Natural forms shapes what you see

Clear hearts’ eye frees you to be

Pleasures from the grist of life

Satisfaction with little strife

You thought complex much to do

Then you get older wiser too

Eating laughing sunset’s delight

Communion companion deliver light

Smile teardrop a hug says much

Encouraging words a wisp of touch

Effortless to know blissful states

Wisdom fills your abundant plate

Many earth pleasures reasonably free

Slow stop trying love and be

Taking enough time to enjoy simple pleasures?

How might your life change if you engaged in one simple pleasure every day?
