Transmuting
Knowing and numbness not fully present
Anger disappointment often resentment
Coming from feeling what is not right
Longing the possible you won’t have tonight
Seeping to surface from deeper than anger
Deeper longer truer stronger
Profound disappointment sending you reeling
Beneath the rage a cauldron of feeling
Vision you had mostly missing
Future envisioned you long to be kissing
Different from what you thought you had
Very wide chasm making you sad
How do you cure fix and heal
First acknowledge accept reveal
Be gentle salve it caress with love
In time declare you’ve risen above
Let it instruct teach its deep lessons
Honor learnings as treasured possessions
Use the experience guide self and others
Share wisdom acquired with sisters and brothers
Embrace perspective “it’s not about only you”
Learning’s for all help carry them through
God’s way of teaching a bigger plan
Transmute resolve suffering for all you can
Can you embrace what I’m talking about
One day knowing smiles replacing pout
See value in the gift of that knowing
Foster that wisdom in teaching and growing
What are the lessons you’ve taken from greatest sadness and disappointment?
How have you used them for self and others?
What makes them profound?

I have always been a seeker, always looking for the answers to what seekers ponder. I can remember Dr. Maxwell Maltz and Psychocybernetics; Dr. Carl Rogers On Becoming a Person. Moving through my legal training and practicing law the focus was always about people and how to better their lives. All that searching, reading, studying and introspective work culminated in this collection of daily readings for seekers.
My work in the world has progressed from fighting legal cases to mediating divorces to helping people understand the essentials of relationship and collaborating to these poems. How can we collaborate effectively and work with each other in harmony to create the world we seek. How can we mindfully enable this world to become a place that works for all.
My prayer is that through introspection using these poems as a guide we can all grow together in making the world the Heaven on Earth we all aspire toward.
