Waking
Striving and pushing seems crazed
Suddenly awake from a daze
Wherever mind was pushing to go
Abundantly clear you already know
No place to get to why not be still
Deep in your center find your strong will
From that place of quiet all will emerge
Clear space is present after the purge
Much of life we move frantically about
Demanding expecting ranting shout
Missing pure blessing of our sacred being
Crashing through lives without ever seeing
If we are lucky smart and aware
We come to realize we’re already there
No place to go to no mountain to climb
Relax slide into your next sacred rhyme
Stay centered within your sphere
Wisdom gets you to your next there
Bask in the reverie of your arrival
Nowhere to go nothing to strive for
Pure simple friends to the flowers
Gentle steadfast hours upon hours
Confident radiant receiving clean
Pleasures of a magnificent dream
What if you were already where you have been striving for and had all you need?
If you could just be a human “being” how would your life be different?

I have always been a seeker, always looking for the answers to what seekers ponder. I can remember Dr. Maxwell Maltz and Psychocybernetics; Dr. Carl Rogers On Becoming a Person. Moving through my legal training and practicing law the focus was always about people and how to better their lives. All that searching, reading, studying and introspective work culminated in this collection of daily readings for seekers.
My work in the world has progressed from fighting legal cases to mediating divorces to helping people understand the essentials of relationship and collaborating to these poems. How can we collaborate effectively and work with each other in harmony to create the world we seek. How can we mindfully enable this world to become a place that works for all.
My prayer is that through introspection using these poems as a guide we can all grow together in making the world the Heaven on Earth we all aspire toward.
